Cylindrical Shape A Burr With No End Cut

Use tungsten carbide burrs on hard materials including steel, aluminum and cast iron, all types of stone, ceramic, porcelain, hard wood, acrylics, fibreglass and reinforced plastics. When used on soft metals such as gold, platinum and silver, carbide burrs are perfect as they will last for a long time with no breaking or chipping. Steel, Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel Cast Iron Aluminium Titanium Stone Gold, Platinum & Silver Ceramic & Porcelain Fibreglass Plastic, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CRP), Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Brass, Copper & Bronze Zinc Hard Wood Different cuts of carbide burrs will be best suited for certain materials.

Use carbide burrs in air tools such as die grinders, pneumatic rotary tools and high speed engravers. Micro Motors, Pendant Drills, Flexible Shafts, and hobby rotary tools such as a Dremel. Carbide burrs are widely used for metalworking, tool making, engineering, model engineering, wood carving, jewelry making, welding, chamferring, casting, deburring, grinding, cylinder head porting and sculpting. Carbide burrs are used in the aerospace, automotive, dentistry, stone and metalsmith industries.

Single cut (one flute) carbide burrs have a right handed (up cut) spiral flute. Single cut is used with stainless steel, hardened steel, copper, cast iron and ferrous metals and will remove material quickly with a smooth finish. Use for heavy stock removal, milling, deburring and cleaning. Heavy removal of material Milling Deburring Cleaning Creates long chips Use double cut carbide burrs on ferrous and non ferrous metals, aluminium, soft steel and also for all non-metal materials such as stone, plastics, hard wood and ceramic. This cut has more cutting edges and will remove material faster.

Double cut also called Diamond Cut or Cross Cut (2 flutes cut across each other) and will leave a smoother finish than single cut due to producing smaller chips as they cut away the material. Use double cut for medium-light stock removal, deburring, finishing and cleaning. Double cut carbide burrs are most popular and work for most applications. Medium- light removal of material Deburring Fine finishing Cleaning Smooth finish Creates small chips

How Carbide Burrs Work

Our carbide burrs operate by rotating at high speeds to remove material from a workpiece, typically powered by air tools or die grinders. These rotary files utilize tungsten carbide hardness to achieve precision in shaping, deburring, and engraving tasks. The flute geometry determines the burr's cutting action, ideal for various machining applications like metalworking, woodworking, and deburring techniques.

Safety Guidelines

  • Wear Eye Protection: Protect your eyes from airborne debris during operation.
  • Ensure Secure Fitting: Fasten burrs firmly to prevent tool damage or injury.
  • Avoid Excess Pressure: Let the burrs do the work to avoid tool bind.
  • Use Gloves: Protect hands from sharp edges and hot materials.
  • Power Off After Use: Disconnect from power to ensure safety.
  • Check Connections: Ensure rotary tools are properly connected and secure.

Top Tips for Using A Series Cylindrical Shape

To get the best from your carbide burrs, align burr RPMs with material toughness, avoid excessive pressure, and ensure regular maintenance. Check tool compatibility to prevent damage and maximize efficiency.
